Dosing machine automation 
Development of custom PLC and HMI applications to suit the dosing machine's intended operation which completely automate the dosing operation with the only human intervention required is to load the empty tins. This application doubled our customer's production.
 
Worked closely with client and mechanical engineers to develop a custom concrete sleeper manufacturing machine. The aim of this project was to deliver a tailored solution that would increase production output and overall quality. AKA were able to make this a reality by automating the dosing process by implementing advanced PLC control of the procedure utilising real time weight feedback and PID controlled positioning and speed of moulds. Whilst the back end applies complex programming the day to day operation was simplified through use of a touch screen to start, stop and monitor the machine.  Once commissioned the bespoke sleeper line increased production output by 100%.


Spray station 
Development of custom PLC and HMI applications to control the spray station and associated conveyors. Integration and interlocking with the existing cross feed conveyor on the dosing machine is included. 
This allowed for the tins to be automatically sprayed with a lubricant without manual handing.
